It’s true. October is more than halfway over.  Yet, before we even start thinking of the upcoming holidays, let’s soak in the last two weeks of this month and enjoy what remains of the fall celebrations, pumpkin patches and corn mazes.  


October 20 – 22, 2017 Borrego Days Desert Festival  Borrego Days Desert Festival is a must see for those that enjoy inspiring art, entertainment, delicious food and drink and more. Children will enjoy the Fun Zone! Parade starts at 9:00 on Saturday morning to kick off the festivities.   Borrego Days


October 21, 2017 Bayside Brew & Spirits Festival 1:00 – 5:00 Here is the first binational beer festival in San Diego.  Enjoy drinks from both sides of the border at Pepper Park, National City. Bayside Brew Fest


October 21 – 22, 2017  The San Diego Kids Expo & Fair 10:00 – 5:00 Located at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, this Expo is held every August and October.  The Indoor Expo offers over 150 local and national companies that have products and services catered to kids and families.  Meet coaches and instructors teaching karate, soccer and football. There will also be gymnastics, talent or dance school, exotic animals, science experiments magic show and much more.  The Outside Fair includes zip lines, walk on water in a human hamster ball, enjoy racing in the pedal car track laser tag or video games.  For ticket information for the fair, go to San Diego Kids Expo & Fair


October 21 – 22 Coronado Art Walk  10:00 – 5:00  Open air arts festival features dozens of artists displaying their wares in historic downtown Coronado.  Live music, dining options and hands on art activities.  Coronado Ferry Landing 1201 First St. coronadoartwalk.com


October 21 – 23 San Diego Botanic Garden Fall Plant Sale 10:00 – 4:00 Choose from thousands of unique, exotic, unusual and drought tolerant plant at San Diego County’s largest and most diverse plant sale.  230 Quail Gardens Dr, Encinitas.  sdbgarden.org.


October 21, 2017 Bulls of St. Agata Charge Little Italy 6:00 – 11:00 No, you won’t need to run from  live bulls charging down the streets of Little Italy, but you will see over 40 classic and rare “Italian Bulls” better known as Lamborghinis filling up W. Fire Street between India Street and Kettner Boulevard.  Little Italy Association of San Diego


October 21, 2017 San Dieguito Park Fall Festival 12:00 – 2:00 – Experience the fall season close to the coast.  Win prizes, play games, get your face painted or paint your own pumpkin masterpiece.  Enjoy coffee and cider and take photos with all the fun picture opportunities.  Critter camp will be there as well so you can meet pets and discover wildlife from the area.  Costumes are encouraged.  Event is free but $3 parking.  Bring the family! 1628 Lomas Sante Fe Dr., Del Mar.


October 21, 2017 Valley Center Symphony Halloween Concert & Costume Parade 3:00 – 4:30 – Another fun fall event for the entire family as the Valley Center Symphony presents their annual Halloween concert and costume parade.  You may even spot a fairy or two lurking in the garden!  29200 Cole Grade Road., Valley Center.
