Community Events: The Third Annual “Sip of Julian” This Weekend

There is something magical about Julian in the summertime.  While the busy tourist season for this quaint mountain village reaches peak numbers in the fall for its very popular apple season, this peaceful community is just as beautiful and stunning throughout the year, but particularly summer.  With its cooler temperatures, hiking trails, horseback riding, nearby boating and fishing at Lake Cuyamaca, not to mention the family friendly atmosphere, there’s never a bad time to visit Julian.
This Saturday, August 5, is the third annual “Sip of Julian.”  From 11:00-5:00 guests can sample some of Julian’s alcoholic beverage purveyors offerings, such as craft beers, wine, craft cocktails and hard cider. Paired with an assortment of small bites, this well attended event is known to sell out.  With tickets at a very reasonable $25, it may be the perfect weekend to book a room in one of their historic hotels and enjoy the shops and restaurants that are scattered around the very scenic Main Street.  And of course, don’t forget to sample the apple pie.
