Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty, is honored to announce that Julia Gonzell has joined the company’s Newport Beach office.

With over a decade of experience in multiple sectors of the real estate industry and nearly $250 million in residential sales, Julia Gonzell is an industry powerhouse who is highly regarded by her clients and peers.

According to Michael Bianchi, V.P. and General Manager, Orange County, “Julia’s vast experience, tenacious negotiation skills and positive attitude make her a valued part of our company and a great representative of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand.”

After growing up in the Pacific Northwest, Julia began her real estate career in the commercial space before moving on to property management. It was at that point, Julia found her true passion in pairing her clients with their dream home. Julia spent years as a top producer for one of the nation’s largest homebuilders which provided her with significant knowledge and expertise in new construction and design. Her love for all things real estate in tandem with a relentless drive to represent and serve her clients, have resulted in over 250 homes sold since 2011.

Recently, Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty sat down with Julia to hear her views on her profession, the industry, and life in Orange County.

Q. Why did you get into the real estate business?

Julia: For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for real estate and the home-buying process. I enjoy touring properties and helping people make their dreams come true. It’s exciting, it’s rewarding, and it’s fun! No two days are ever the same, and I am always learning something new.

Q. You came from a very successful career working with developers in new home sales. What do you owe your success to?

Julia: I believe the majority of my success is a result of my work ethic. I have always been a highly driven and self-motivated person. I genuinely love what I do and the challenges that come along with it.

Q. What made you move to Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty?

Julia: Having previously worked for one of the top builders in the US for many years, I understand the importance of branding. Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty is a premier luxury brand that is known for its global marketing and media exposure. Knowing I have access to the same tools while selling a multimillion-dollar home or helping a buyer purchase their first condo is extremely important to me as I enjoy helping people from all walks of life. After my first meeting with Mike Bianchi, I knew Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty was a perfect fit.

Q. What is the best part of selling real estate in Orange County?

Julia: The best part of selling real estate in Orange County is that I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know so many wonderful people from all over the world. I am able to explore different neighborhoods that are all so unique while viewing gorgeous homes in an area that I love.

Q. What makes Orange County a great place to live?

Julia: Orange County is a great place to live for so many reasons. You can’t beat the weather, and being from Seattle, I can tell you how important weather is to everyday life. There are also not many places you can spend the morning at the beach and then hop in the car to spend the afternoon on the slopes. With so many great attractions like Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, it’s no wonder people come from all over the world to vacation here.

Q. What’s your favorite part of your home?

Julia: My favorite part of my home is the yard! Our house sits on a quarter of an acre, which is rare for Orange County. With a 3-year-old and an almost 1-year-old, we enjoy spending time outdoors, and being able to do that in our own space is a blessing. It’s great for entertaining too!

Q. What’s the most valuable amenity to have in a home right now?

Julia:  Since COVID-19, I would say the most valuable amenity to have in a home right now is an office. With so many people working from home, having a designated space to be able to work and focus is more important than ever.
