Michael’s history with La Jolla goes back four generations, when his grandfather was the first baby born in Scripps Hospital when it was located on Prospect Street and his great grandparents lived on Park Row. Ironically, Michael’s first job as a teenager was selling comfort shoes where Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty La Jolla’s office is today.
Spending several years in Pittsburgh, where he attended the University of Pittsburgh, Michael enjoyed seven years of management and executive support at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. Here he fine tuned his skills while supporting some of the city’s most influential executives where only the highest level of standards was expected. Michael wrote the medical center’s company cellular phone policy and negotiated the largest telecommunications contract of its kind with AT&T and Verizon. He also was selected to sit on the Critical Care Medical Response Committee, where he assisted in developing policy and procedures that directly affected the lives and care of patients. Upon returning to La Jolla, Michael was hired at Mitel, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the country, where he specialized in complex, multi site call center applications, to those companies and individuals that needed sophisticated telephone and IT systems.
In 2017, Michael decided to combine his 20 years sales experience in the retail, telecommunications and sporting goods businesses, along with his love of Southern California into a career in real estate. As a caregiver to his 99 year old grandfather, Michael has extensive knowledge and resources in the La Jolla area making him a natural for those clients looking to sell their family home and downsize.
