Just one day prior to the scheduled auction of one of San Diego’s County’s most unique properties, K. Ann Brizolis & Associates of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty was able to secure a buyer for the multimillion dollar property, resulting in a record setting sale. The stunning property, which is perched atop Paint Mountain just east of Rancho Santa Fe in the community of Elfin Forest, was purchased for five million dollars. Both the seller and buyer were represented by Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty in the transaction, which was the culmination of years of hard work and extensive marketing by K. Ann Brizolis and her team.
“In real estate, you must always expect the unexpected,” said K. Ann Brizolis, of K. Ann Brizolis & Associates and Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty, the listing agent for the property. “We do all we can to prepare and plan but, many times, the result you are looking for comes unexpectedly and suddenly, and you have to be ready to adapt.”
Brizolis, along with Platinum Luxury Auctions, had for months planned the auction sale of this estate. The auction was scheduled for October 3 and, while bidders were lining up, a serious buyer surfaced at the last minute and wanted to negotiate for purchase prior to auction.
“Although we were very anxious to see what the auction would bring in terms of sale, the seller elected to take this opportunity,” said Brizolis. “When you have a chance to truly make everyone happy, you have to get it done, even if that wasn’t part of the original plan.”
One of the most unique and intriguing homes in all of San Diego County, and perched atop Paint Mountain on more than 18 acres, the property offers striking, 360-degree views of San Diego, with vistas stretching all the way to the Pacific Ocean. An architectural marvel in an unprecedented geographic location, the home also features a one-of-a-kind lap pool, said to be one of the longest residential pools in the world. The $5 million dollar home sale was the largest sale in Escondido over the last ten years.
“This is the type of result you get with Pacific Sotheby’s Realty,” added Steve Games, Chairman of the Board, Pacific Sotheby’s Realty. “We are pleased to be part of this historically significant sale and are proud to get the deal done for everyone involved.”
